Diaxporas’ podcast series, coming soon

The Diaxporas: Migration Memory Research Collective, of which I am a founding member and coordinator, is a group of scholars, public historians, archivists, librarians, and community members with an interest in Canada’s diasporic communities, their histories, memories, and interactions with one another and with the general society. Our aim is to develop collaborative research projects, opportunities for sharing resources and expertise, promote innovative teaching and student engagement, and facilitate the preservation and increased accessibility of historical records and artifacts by public archives and museums. Founded in September 2024, the collective is associated with the Robarts Centre for Canadian Studies at York University. See our webpage here.

We are currently producing our flagship project, is a podcast series exploring various points of intersection between the different groups studied by the members of our collective, highlighting oral histories from the Multicultural History Society of Ontario’s collection. On May 27, members our group got together to record our teaser episode, which we will put out in the coming months. Stay tuned.
